Role Description

We are seeking to appoint a Trial Support Officer to join our highly successful and fully accredited Trials Unit at York.  We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a strong background in research co-ordination/administration and an interest in pursuing a career in trials. 

You will assist with the setup and co-ordination of trials, assist with provision of documentation to obtain appropriate ethical approval and assist with the writing of summary reports and publications, all under the supervision and direction of a trial co-ordinator and/or senior trial manager. 

You will require a basic knowledge of randomised controlled trial methodologies, and are expected to hold a good first degree in a relevant area and demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of healthcare, social science or education research.

Salary will be within the range: £24,983 – £30,688 a year and the post is available full time on a fixed term contract for 24 months.
