Applications are invited for the post of Cochrane Managing Editor for the Common Mental Disorders Group within the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination at the University of York.
You will have experience of international research management or scientific/medical publishing. With knowledge of the scientific methods used in health related research and systematic reviews, you will be able to lead the management and publishing aspects of the CMD Group. Your knowledge and understanding of the work of the Cochrane Collaboration and systematic reviews is an essential component of the role. You will be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills in prioritising and organising work and past success in delivering large scale projects to fixed deadlines. You will have good communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to think creatively and strategically to solve problems.

You will have a first degree in a relevant health, science or social science subject and a relevant masters-level qualification. A PhD in a relevant subject is desirable. You will have a track record of successfully managing international collaborative health/scientific research OR scientific publishing, including preparation/delivery of scientific and/or financial reports and applications to funding bodies or publishers.
Salary is in the range £38,832 - £47,722 a year on Grade 7 of the University’s salary scales. The post is full-time and is available for a fixed period until 31 March 2020.
