The role will be based at York Campus Nursery, University of York, Heslington, York, Y010 5DD

Applications are invited for the above post for those wishing to join the team caring for children aged 0-5 years. York Campus Nursery accepts children of University staff, students and the public. The post of Early Years Educator requires a level 3 qualification in childcare and relevant experience of working with the 0-5 age range is essential. In addition we are looking for the ability to work sympathetically with children, parents, colleagues and an awareness of equal opportunity issues.

The post is fixed term for two years and available as soon as possible. Hours of work will be 14 per week normally 8.30am to 1.30pm, Thursday and Friday and one afternoon shift by arrangement 2.00 – 6.00pm per week. The starting salary is £18,082 per annum reduced pro rata.

You will be entitled to 30 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays per annum (some of which will be taken when the nursery is closed) reduced pro rata.
