Role Description

The Environment Department is looking to appoint to the position of Industry Liaison Officer.  You will be responsible for the build and development of a strong network of industrial partners in relation to the delivery of the Department’s Year in Industry programmes.  The role involves working closely with academic staff and the University’s careers service to strengthen existing business relationships as well as extending the network to new partners.

You will work with Environment students to ensure that they are fully supported throughout their engagement with the Year in Industry, placement and summer experience processes ensuring excellent communication with all stakeholders.

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proven ability to develop good working relationships and an ability to take a pragmatic approach to problem solving.  You will have a knowledge and understanding of the industrial sector relevant to environmental disciplines and career pathways for environmental graduates and current students.
