Role Description

The Office of Philanthropic Partnerships and Alumni (OPPA) is responsible for fundraising and alumni relations at the University of York, one of the UK’s leading universities. A new full-time role in OPPA is now available for an analytical and creative individual with strong communication and technical skills, to help us to transform our data analysis and reporting.

As Data Analysis Officer, you will be responsible for the development of reports, management information (MI), statistical analysis and evaluation using the University’s fundraising and alumni data. You will use your understanding of databases, statistical principles and user needs to develop creative approaches to targeting OPPA’s communications and evaluating our activities. You will also work alongside other Information Team members to support and progressively improve OPPA’s CRM database, including participating in data transfer projects and user training.

You will have experience of a range of analytical techniques and of presenting data for management information (MI). You will have excellent attention to detail, strong time management skills and the ability to communicate and build relationships with managers, colleagues and other departments. A background in the charitable sector, marketing or higher education would be an advantage.

For an informal discussion, please contact Chris Barnes, Information and Philanthropy Operations Manager: chris.barnes@york.ac.uk / 01904 322099.

The closing date for applications is 3 July 2017. Interviews will be held on 19 July 2017.

The University of York is committed to promoting equality and diversity
