Role Description

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well organised Communications Officer to work within the Office of Philanthropic Partnerships and Alumni (OPPA) at the University of York. The Communications Officer will provide communications and marketing support both online and offline to the Communications and Marketing Manager, OPPA and other key internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for engaging OPPA audiences, including the University’s 128,000 strong alumni community, 2,600+ donors and other friends and influencers through relevant, targeted and bespoke content.

Working in both an online and offline environment, this is the ideal position for an energetic and motivated individual interested in working in alumni and donor engagement. We are looking for an all round creative individual who combines technical know-how with an eye for design. Experience in communications, content production and marketing production is essential.

You will also be able to work to tight deadlines, think creatively and have an appreciation of providing excellent customer service.
