Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role holder will run the daily operations of our Cucina delivered food service and fine dining events.
The Catering Manager will contribute significantly to the efficient delivery and success of the Hospitality section. This will involve monitoring the effectiveness of financial and booking systems and controls in place, reporting any shortfalls to the Operations Manager. They will have a sound understanding of the relationship between all service providers on campus and the roles they play and will liaise closely with all service providers ensuring successful delivery of each event. The success of this will be demonstrated by repeat business and positive client feedback. The post-holder will manage and monitor the progress of the administration and service teams’ work on a day to day basis with particular emphasis on accounts management. They will also be required to provide training, support and supervision to the administration and service teams.
You will ensure the highest quality of service by meeting and exceeding strict targets and standards. An ability to adapt to last minute changes in demand, experience of work in a large catering operation and leading a team of catering professionals is essential.
The starting salary will be £20,691 per annum on grade C1 of the YCL pay structure rising to £21,312 per annum after the successful completion of a six month probationary period.
Hours of work will average 37 per week on a “5 days out of 7” basis with flexibility to support business demand including evening and weekend work.
You will be entitled to 30 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays per annum which will include closure days over the Christmas period.
