Contract Type:  Full-Time, fixed-term to 31/03/18 (Secondments considered)

Salary: Grade 6 £31,076 - £38,183 per annum

Due to the secondment of the current post holder an opportunity has arisen for a full-time fixed term appointment until 31 March 2018 as an EU Research Projects Manager within the European Research Development Team in Research Grants and Contracts.


We are looking for someone that can combine excellent financial skills with equally strong interpersonal skills to manage the application process, financial administration and contractual compliance of research grants associated with European Commission Funding, particularly H2020. You will maintain a high level of organisation and have expert understanding of EU funding.


Educated to degree level, you will have significant administrative experience in a complex organisation and have knowledge of academic research processes and issues.  You will be keen to develop and provide a high quality administrative service. You will work closely with colleagues in other support areas and in academic departments and liaise with funders and collaborators on a regular basis.


Previous experience of working on EU research grants or knowledge of the requirements EU funding is essential.


The post is available on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2018.
