Postdoctoral Research Associate

REF: 5369


The Department of Psychology is seeking a full-time postdoctoral research associate to work with Dr Silke Goebel for 3 years on an ESRC funded project entitled ‘Cross-format number integration and its relationship to mathematics performance’. 

The project will involve extensive longitudinal testing in schools and EEG testing, as well as liaising with parents and teachers in order to build contacts in the community.

Candidates should have a PhD (or nearly completed PhD) in experimental psychology, experience working with children and/or EEG testing.  Experience publishing in high profile, peer-reviewed journals is desirable.  

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to give a 10-minute presentation on the subject of their PhD and how the experience they gained during their doctoral research will help them contribute to the project.

The starting salary is £31,076. The appointment is available for 3 years starting from the 1st April 2017.
