Role Description

The Enterprise Systems Group is looking for a talented Finance Systems Analyst to join the Finance Systems team in IT Services on a part-time basis (18.5 hours per week). You will be part of a group that integrates systems across the University and creates bespoke applications to gather, manage and utilise the University’s data to support teaching, research and administration ensuring that York stays one of the top Universities in the UK.

You will focus on finance related systems and services, but will work across many business areas through projects that involve integration with other systems and data. You will be part of a team of four responsible for providing operational support and development of Agresso Business World and related services. The team is responsible for identifying and delivering service improvements to management accountants and other administrative staff across the University. As such, you will work closely with Management Accountants and Administrative staff to ensure that all developments are sustainable and scalable.

To be successful you will need to have a highly collaborative approach to service improvement, working closely with the Finance Systems Team Leader to continually improve finance related systems and services.

The Information Services Directorate operates a flexi-time scheme which allows for flexible working whilst ensuring operational requirements are fulfilled. The annual holiday entitlement is 38 days, including 8 statutory public holidays and University closure days. The leave year is October to September.  If the post is part-time, or appointment is made part-way through the year, holiday entitlement will be reduced pro rata.

If you have any queries about the role, please contact Jamie Heggarty (email: or telephone: +44 (0)1904 324095).

It is anticipated that interviews will be held on Friday 6th January 2017.
