Role Description

We are looking for a talented Assistant Cook to join one of our kitchen brigades.

You should have experience in preparing and cooking light snacks, meals and call order menu items in accordance with menu guidelines demonstrating a flair and interest in food. You will require at least 1 year’s experience of food preparation and working in a commercial kitchen. You should have the ability to work as part of a team and be able to work without close supervision and on your own initiative. If you have the desire and appetite to learn all aspects of the catering industry you are the person we are looking for.

Hours of work will be 37 per week on a “5 days out of 7” basis as there is a need for flexibility to support business demand and you may be required to work weekends and bank holidays. There will be no split shifts and late shifts will usually not finish later than 8.00pm.

The annual holiday entitlement is 38 days which includes 8 bank holidays and closure days over the Christmas and New Year period. 

The starting salary is £14,276 per annum rising to £14,719 after the completion of a successful 3 month probation period.

Closing date will be midnight on 7 December 2016.
