The International Relations department oversees the University's international strategy and works to promote international opportunity and partnerships. It manages strategic alliances and institutional partnerships with organisations throughout the world, facilitates global research collaborations, and develops international opportunities for students and staff.
The Centre for Global Programmes, forming part of the International Relations department, is the hub for all study abroad projects including exchanges, short courses and summer schools, visiting student recruitment, group trips overseas and providing funding for individual projects.
The short courses and summer schools team is developing its portfolio of partner universities overseas to build on and develop international relationships. This work increasingly involves working with departments and faculties to provide high quality student learning experiences in York.
Strong administrative support for these activities is essential to ensure the Centre's service success.
The University of York is committed to promoting equality and diversity.
York is one of the most successful universities in the UK.
With world-class activity across the spectrum from the physical sciences, life sciences, and social sciences to the humanities, we have been recognised as one of the top 100 universities in the world, gaining outstanding results in official assessments of our research and teaching.
