You will manage strategic relationships with partner universities in other countries, building alliances and maintaining relationships that reinforce the University of York’s research priorities. Paying strong attention to global reputation, research excellence and complementary research strengths, you will work with senior management, academic colleagues and other professional colleagues, to identify key potential partners and manage relationships with current partners. You will also undertake horizon scanning and identify funding sources for research in key countries, and provide concise and analytical briefings for senior staff. You will be responsible for organising high-level delegations to the countries you are responsible for, and for hosting visits to York from international partners. A background in diplomacy, higher education or international work would be advantageous.
