The Directorate of Estates and Campus Services (DECS) is the largest of the University’s support departments and is responsible for the development and maintenance of the University estate. The Directorate is split into 5 main areas of service delivery which are: Estates Operations, Estates Development, Facilities Service Delivery, Space Management, and Administrative Services.
The Administrative Services team supports colleagues from other sections. In this role you will primarily assist the Recruitment Coordinator in processing the Directorate’s recruitments and various people changes.
You will carry out a range of administrative tasks including at times large amounts of scanning, photocopying and filing. Other tasks will include updating the University’s Recruitment, Payroll and Time & Attendance systems. You will maintain electronic and paper files in line with current Data Protection legislation. Further regular tasks will include assisting with monitoring sickness absence and probation reviews.
A flexible and calm approach to tasks is required and you should be willing to adapt your workload to meet changing priorities.
This is a part time post and the hours of work are 22.2 per week which ideally will be worked over four days.
