Role Description

We are seeking to appoint a Laboratory Manager to assist in the running of the Centre for Immunology and Infection (CII) an interdepartmental research centre formed between the Hull York Medical School and the Department of Biology, University of York.

This is a challenging position: you will be responsible for the management of the Centre’s buildings and facilities, with a duty of care for all health and safety matters within the CII.  You will have a degree (or equivalent) in a biological sciences discipline, together with several years’ relevant laboratory management experience. You will have proven technical experience in immunology and molecular biology techniques, as well as experience of ACDP, COSHH and Health and Safety regulations

The salary will be in the range £31,076 - £38,183 per annum on Grade 6 of the University salary scales.  This position will be on an open contract.
