The Department of Physics are seeking to appoint a proactive and professional administrator for the role of PA to the Head of the Department. The successful candidate will balance PA duties with the co-ordination of departmental communications and support for HR-related administrative duties. The role is varied and you will possess excellent organisational and time management skills as well as a proven ability to interact with staff at all levels.
You will be proficient in the use of common IT packages and confident using IT to develop marketing materials.
This is a fixed-term position until 18 September 2017 due to the secondment of the current post holder to another position within the University of York. We will consider a part-time or full-time appointment. If part-time, the minimum hours would 18.5 per week (0.5FTE) (though any variation up to 1 FTE would be considered), and the successful candidate would need to work part-time hours every day Monday to Friday,
