As Computing At Schools (CAS) Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering continuing professional development (CPD) to primary and secondary school teachers. This training will take place in a variety of settings from one-to-one mentoring in schools, to training of small clusters of schools, to organising and delivering conference events for 50-100 teachers.
You will be driven and motivated to work with teachers and be able communicate a passion for the subject of computing. You will have sufficient subject knowledge to train primary and secondary school teachers in computing and/or knowledge of the primary/secondary teaching environment (e.g. qualified teacher). You should have an understanding of the current challenges of delivering computing in schools, especially regarding the challenges of delivering computing CPD across a region as large and diverse as Yorkshire and Humberside.
You will have a passion for education, and you will communicate and inspire others to share that passion. You will work closely with the volunteer pool for CAS in ensuring that they are delivering high quality CPD throughout the region.
The post is part-time (18.5 hours a week / 0.5 FTE) and is available until 31 August 2018.
