BMS Engineer or Controls Engineer position
Estates Services is a section of the Directorate of Estates and Campus Services, which is one of three administrative departments at the University. It carries responsibility for the design and management of all major and minor construction projects in the University together with responsibility for the maintenance of building fabric, services and grounds.
You will service, maintain and optimise the University estates department Building Energy Management System’s hardware, software, supervisory and integration systems and assist the Building Energy Management Engineer as required. Irregular out of hours support will be required to complete critical repairs and maintenance and to allow recommissioning of equipment following maintenance to support critical operations.
You will identify opportunities for energy saving initiatives and attend relevant training and CPD courses in order to stay abreast of the latest developments.
A HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline, which may include mechanical, electrical, controls, building services, environmental engineering is essential. In addition you will have a relevant industry controls qualification gained from engineering institutes or BMS manufacturer’s courses.
