The Directorate of Technology, Estates and Facilities [DTEF] is responsible for ‘providing outstanding work, study, research facilities, and facilities to enhance the student experience, on campus and online’.
This role is part of the Asset Management Team within Estates. The Estates teams carry responsibility for the design and management of all major and minor construction projects in the University, together with responsibility for the maintenance of building fabric, services and grounds.
Working within the University of York Estates Asset Management Team, the role provides technical administrative support by working closely with the Engineering, Infrastructure & Maintenance teams and reports to the Asset Manager (Technical Engineer).
The role will include the continuing development of the University’s Estates Management Information System(s). In particular scheduling of Planned Preventative Maintenance activities and maintaining statutory and non-statutory records of equipment and inventory data. The post holder will be responsible for the administration and monitoring of Maintenance Service Contracts and procurement and management of University signage and other specified services.
