The Global Opportunities team is part of the International Recruitment, Partnerships and Mobility team within the Global Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions Directorate and manages the University’s portfolio of international student mobility partners and programmes including bespoke short courses for students, open access summer schools and teacher training courses for prospective primary and secondary ELT teachers. These programmes aim to build new international relationships and enhance existing relationships with key University partners across the globe and support University strategy.
You will teach on our ELT teacher-training programmes for primary and secondary teachers from Hong Kong and China.
Your responsibilities will include providing input sessions on English Language Teaching theory, methodology and practice including micro-teaching opportunities for the trainees and conducting tutorials, some of which will involve the integration of language and content study. You will manage groups of teachers throughout a teacher-training programme and provide mentoring and feedback on teaching skills. You will mark and assess written dissertations which are awarded credits by the client university to ensure that they comply with the quality standards of the university.
