The Department of Economics and Related Studies is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and proactive Staff Administrator, with excellent interpersonal and communications skills, to join the busy Staff Administration Team.
The Staff Administration Team is part of a larger team of Professional Support Staff, supporting a broad range of activities within the Department. Working collaboratively with academic colleagues, and with support colleagues from around the University, to achieve departmental, Faculty and University objectives.
The Department is based on Campus West and is one of the largest economics departments in the UK. We offer a great diversity of research expertise and research-led teaching and our academic community of staff, students and visitors is both intellectually vibrant and international in perspective.
Working under the line management of the Administration Manager, you will provide administrative support to a range of operational activities in an academic department/s.
As part of the department Staff Administration Team, you will work collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues both within the department, and in the wider Faculty / University, to enable a responsive, proactive and high-quality operational support service to staff.
You will provide support to a range of transactional and operational activities including areas such as, but not limited to, HR, finance, event planning, communications, health & safety and facilities management.
This role is available on a fixed term basis until March 2026 for 22.20 hours per week (0.6 FTE).
