We’re currently looking for a talented, innovative and hardworking Sous Chef to create a small events team, to work alongside our Executive Chef. The team will provide exciting, fresh food menus and deliver outstanding service whilst helping expand our already well-established brand “Campus Kitchen”.
The role would encompass our in-house catering operation, as well as fine dining work, both on campus and at York’s prestigious Guildhall. We want people who push for high standards and take pride in a sandwich as well as a grand banquet and everything in between.
A flexible work approach is a must as the team would also offer support around campus when there is a downturn in events, filling in to facilitate our kitchens during our busy conference seasons. The roles would offer the same great work-life balance our other staff already enjoy, as well as all the benefits and assurances of working for one of the country's leading universities.
The salary offered is £26,006.84 per annum averaging 37 hours per week on a 5 over 7-day basis. Additional hours may be required on occasion to meet business demand. Where overtime occurs, time off at a later date will be granted when appropriate or otherwise paid. The majority of shifts will fall between Monday to Friday, with no split shifts. Occasional weekend work may be needed.
