As the Sexual Violence Liaison Officer, you will be supporting students who have experienced sexual violence, delivering training to students and staff on various topics including consent, responding to disclosures, and bystander intervention, and contributing to campaigns to raise awareness of support available to students. You will be working within the Student Life and Wellbeing team, and interacting with colleagues from across the institution, as well as working in partnership with our student union and external providers such as SARCs and Independent Sexual Violence Advisers (ISVAs), to ensure that our students have access to the support and information they need.
You will manage a varied caseload, working one to one with students to ensure that they have access to the information they need, supporting them to make informed choices, and helping them to access appropriate
University-based and external specialist support. You will advise colleagues on their response to students who disclose sexual violence. You will contribute to an institutional-wide effort to raise awareness about the impact of sexual violence and the support available to students, through the development and implementation of training, campaigns and resources.
