The post holder will be a key member of the Income and Accounts Receivable function of the University and will ensure effective and efficient operation by being involved in all aspects of invoicing, income collection, account reconciliation and debt collection procedures. The Accounts Receivable function sits within the Finance Department as part of the Procurement and Transactional Services team which also covers procurement, payroll and accounts payable functions.
This is an exciting role which will require the ability to think logically and apply knowledge of the complex and diverse funding criteria while adhering to the strict financial compliance regulations including debt recovery legislation. You will be numerate and able to analyse data and financial information to a high level of accuracy ensuring deadlines are met, with an ability to use computer-based accounting systems. Your ability to demonstrate good customer service skills, work collaboratively with and supervise colleagues as part of a team and manage your day-to-day workload with minimum supervision whilst using your own initiative is essential to the role.
To undertake a range of specialised, administrative activities that contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the income and fees office within the finance department and ensure the accurate generation and collection of student/sponsor fees and commercial/research income for the University:
