Role Description

York Commercial Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and motivated individual to join the company as Sales and Events Manager to take responsibility for managing YCL conference business at the University of York.

York Conferences are responsible for generating revenue through delivering conferences and events, hosting day meetings, exhibitions and residential conferences throughout the year based on the University of York campus.

As Sales and Events Manager, you will be responsible for generating sales of conferencing space and functions whilst delivering outstanding customer services. The post-holder will also lead the York Conferences team and work closely with other service providers and Heads of Departments to develop new commercial concepts and business relationships.

This post requires a degree level or equivalent event management qualification (or relevant professional experience), along with an in-depth knowledge of the conference, hospitality or events industry. Experience of financial budget setting and leading a team is also required.

The hours for the role will be full-time (37 hours per week). The starting salary offered is £34,785.12 per annum.
