The Centre for Health Economics (CHE) at the University of York is seeking to appoint two Research Fellows (Grade 6) within the Health Policy team on a full-time open contract (part-time applications will also be considered with a minimum of 0.8 FTE).
CHE has a leading international reputation and is one of the world’s largest health economics research centres. CHE is committed to the development and application of economics to promote health and wellbeing through the effective, efficient, and equitable use of scarce resources. We also have a significant portfolio of research focused on the economics of mental health, health care productivity analysis, and health inequalities. The team hosts the NIHR Policy Research Unit in the Economics of Health Systems and Interface with Social Care (ESHCRU II).
CHE is committed to promoting an inclusive community, one in which diversity is recognised, valued, and celebrated. CHE is a friendly and supportive department that embraces hybrid and flexible working patterns, enabling staff to work partly remotely (within the UK) according to project needs and their preferences.
The Research Fellows will contribute to our existing portfolio of research projects, applying an economic perspective to the quantitative analysis and evaluation of health, social and mental health policy. Potential projects include policy-relevant analyses to inform decisions in the UK and internationally through econometric analysis of routine datasets, development and calibration of economic theory models to real-world decision problems, as well as economic methods development.
