The University of York’s Department of Computer Science is seeking to recruit a Research Associate. This post is for work in the context of an European project called RoboSapiens, whose focus is on autonomous robotic software adaptations. RoboSAPIENS is laying the foundations for ensuring that such adaptations are carried out in an intrinsically safe, trustworthy and efficient manner, thereby reconciling open-ended self-adaptation with trustworthiness by design. The research work will involve use and extension of RoboStar technology to design and verify applications of interest to our European partners. The post holder will be an expert in RoboStar technology, AI, and automated verification techniques.
The research work will involve validation and application of RoboStar technology developed in the context of RoboSapiens to design and verify applications of interest to our European partners. The work will produce key artefacts for the applications, and written material to be used in project deliverables and papers.
• A strong mathematical background and familiarity with RoboStar framework and tools.
