An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a team of researchers working on a new, timely project investigating the impact of a new social security benefit - The Scottish Child Payment. The post will work closely with researchers at the University of York to conduct qualitative research with parents and carers in England and Scotland, drawing a comparison between experiences of those who do and do not receive the additional support.
The main purpose of the role is to conduct qualitative research with parents and carers living on a low-income in Scotland and England. The postholder will be responsible for every aspect of the qualitative work and will have opportunities to take part in dissemination activities such as presenting at conferences and publishing the work in academic and other forums. They will take a leading role in the analysis and writing up of the data emerging from this project.
This is a fixed-term part-time position until October 2025.
