The Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (RIKE) Directorate is responsible for central management of the University’s activities and strategy in research and knowledge exchange, and for providing comprehensive support to academic departments in their research and impact activities.
This post will support the preparation of the submissions for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2029. REF is the UK’s system for assessing the excellence of research in UK higher education providers. The REF outcomes are used to inform the allocation of QR funding and for benchmarking the quality of our research.
The REF Support Officer will provide administrative support for the REF 2029 submission, ensuring that relevant information is made available, collected and reported in a timely manner. The postholder will be expected to organise their work in collaboration with colleagues in RIKE as well as academic colleagues in departments to support all aspects of the REF 2029 submission.
