The joint medical school of the Universities of Hull and York, Hull York Medical School has a reputation as one of the UK's most exciting, contemporary schools. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recruitment, Admissions and Outreach Support (Maternity cover) to join Hull York Medical School, in support of the Admissions, Student Recruitment, Widening Participation and Outreach team. This role will provide administrative support for all aspects of the wider Student Recruitment, Admissions, Outreach and Widening Participation team, assisting the team to facilitate the smooth delivery of events and admissions processes.

This role is based at the University of York
As this role is offered as 0.5 full-time equivalent, we can be flexible to the hours worked across the week and the post holder can either have a combination of remote and in office working or all office working.
This role reports to the Admissions and Recruitment Co-ordinator.
Applicants should hold a Level 2 qualification including five GCSEs at Grade A*-C/ grade 4-9 (or equivalent) with experience of working in a varied administrative role, effectively balancing competing priorities.
The successful applicant will also have proven experience of data handling, experience of using digital technologies including Google applications and/or Microsoft Office, an excellent standard of customer service to a range of stakeholders, and be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
The successful applicant will also need to demonstrate the ability to work with others outside of the immediate team to ensure that accurate information is passed on promptly to the most appropriate contacts in order to support a good student/applicant service.
An understanding UK Higher Education systems is desirable, as is a knowledge of admissions procedures and processes.
