This is a very exciting opportunity to join a new team which has come together to undertake a major research programme on Devolution and Social Security for the Nuffield Foundation. The research which is led by Professor Ruth Patrick within the School for Business and Society at York involves seven universities and two policy partners: Child Poverty Action Group and Resolution Foundation. The research will be the first major programme to investigate how the design and delivery of social security varies within the UK at the national, regional and local levels of devolution and localisation; and will include innovative, participatory work with people in receipt of social security for all or most of their income.
The role is for an experienced and highly-motivated project manager who will work closely with Ruth Patrick and the whole project team to establish effective ways of collaborative working, and to ensure that the project is a success. The successful candidate will develop and oversee project management and reporting tools, including for impact monitoring, and will lead on the project’s social media presence. They will be a core member of the project team, and will have opportunities to travel within the UK as part of the role.
This role is part-time and is a fixed term appointment until October 2027.
Experience of project management within a university setting
