We require an experienced and skilled ELT practitioner to manage and develop short courses and summer programmes as part of our Global Opportunities team from May to September 2026.
The Global Opportunities team is part of the International Recruitment, Partnerships and Mobility team within the Global Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions Directorate and manages the University’s portfolio of international student mobility partners and programmes including bespoke short courses for students, open access summer schools and teacher training courses for prospective primary and secondary ELT teachers. These programmes aim to build new international relationships and enhance existing relationships with key University partners across the globe and support University strategy.
The team is growing in-line with the University’s ambitious new strategy to rapidly expand its potential to generate new income streams and develop substantive global partnerships aligned to the emergent new University Strategy. The IRPM team is therefore tasked with increasing the visibility of the University of York to global audiences, including partner international universities, international academic networks and other international research and teaching partnerships. The University has significant geographical reach with its current partners and prides itself on the depth of these relationships.
The Programme Manager will be required to set up and deliver short courses and summer programmes for undergraduate students run by the Global Opportunities Team.
You will be an experienced ELT manager who has worked with HE organisations in the UK and internationally. You will take responsibility for all aspects of short programme development and delivery.
