White Rose University Consortium is seeking an experienced PA/Administrator to support the Head of the Consortium and the Administration Manager in the day to day operations of the business.
This is a part-time role (22.2 hours per week, 0.6 FTE). Home working is supported, with occasional travel to the universities of York, Leeds and Sheffield.
White Rose University Consortium works collaboratively across the universities of Leeds, Sheffield, and York, to enable individuals from all backgrounds to thrive within our institutions. As a strategic partnership, we actively engage with institutional, regional, and national partners to propel positive change and create sustained impact.
The PA/Administrator is a key operational role, supporting the Administration Manager in the effective delivery of our ambitious vision and mission. You will have particular responsibility for providing a confidential, highly organised, professional PA service to the Head of White Rose including liaison with Vice-Chancellor offices and other senior university management as necessary. You will also have responsibility for coordinating the governance meetings and supporting the team in day to day activities.
The work of the White Rose University Consortium is constantly evolving, which creates an interesting and varied role for the PA/Administrator and there will be opportunities to contribute to a wide range of activities and initiatives.
We are open to discussions around work patterns, for example working school hours.
Level 2 qualification including Maths and English. (Qualifications at this level include five GCSEs at grade A*-C/ grade 4-9). We also welcome applicants with equivalent non-uk qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
Experience working as an Administrator
Ability to plan your workload to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent digital literacy and IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365 programmes (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and SharePoint
Excellent interpersonal and team working skills with the ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with colleagues and quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships
A flexible, proactive, forward thinking ‘can do’ attitude with a commitment to delivering an excellent service
Communicate effectively in verbal and written formats
Organise activities and resources.
