We seek to appoint two Lecturers/Senior Lecturers (equivalent to Assistant/Associate Professor) to our Psychology in Education Research Centre (http://www.york.ac.uk/education/research/perc/). We are looking for outstanding candidates who will conduct research in any area of Psychology in Education and contribute to teaching and supervision on the BPS-accredited BSc and MSc Psychology in Education programmes and/or the MSc Mental Health & Wellbeing in Education.
Your role will be to develop funding applications, carry out research projects and lead on and/or contribute to the production of research outputs and research outcomes. You will also be expected to design, develop and deliver teaching on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, to carry out supervision and to undertake administrative and managerial responsibilities.
We particularly welcome applications from candidates with research expertise in mental health and wellbeing. This may include, but is not limited to, mental and emotional health in children or adolescents, mental health and well-being interventions in schools, trauma and resilience, counselling and therapy and psychopathology. We would also be interested to hear from candidates with expertise in educational evaluation and RCT methods.
Appointment to Senior Lecturer would be made primarily in relation to the experience and career stage of individual candidates. In addition to the above, candidates should be able to demonstrate that they meet the following criteria:
