The Department of History is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in the History of Modern China. You should have a PhD in an area of history relevant to the post and ideally hold an appropriate teaching qualification. You will have an emerging publication record in a relevant field with proven experience of taking responsibility for teaching and learning at undergraduate level.

Academic staff in the Department are internationally renowned for their research. We are active participants in the interdisciplinary Centre for Modern Studies and, in the Borthwick Institute for Archives, possess unique research collections.

The successful candidate will be asked to teach undergraduate modules, including an existing Year Three Special Subject: Mao and Maoism (Semester 1 and Semester 2).
