We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support the research group led by Dr Katrien Van Bocxlaer. Our laboratory investigates drug delivery to the skin in the context of leishmaniasis, a group of diseases caused by Leishmania parasites. Our research focuses on understanding how drugs interact with both parasites and host cells within the skin microenvironment. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Hull York Medical School and become part of a multidisciplinary and translational research team that combines pharmacology, parasitology, and skin biology to advance the development of improved therapies for leishmaniasis and other skin-related infectious diseases.
We are looking for a detail-orientated and reliable individual ideally with experience in skin cell manipulation, organotypic models, drug efficacy screening and parasitology to join our team and contribute to the delivery of our scientific projects. This role may suit someone looking for a short-term position, but there is the possibility of the post growing in responsibility and so could suit PhD or postdoc-level staff.
