The International Recruitment, Partnerships and Mobility (IRPM) department makes up part of the External Relations Directorate, and focuses on international student recruitment, short courses, exchange and study abroad, and global partnerships and research support.
The International Recruitment team within IPRM are tasked with developing a strategy to achieve substantial growth in overseas recruitment to grow our international student population at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including via an expanded portfolio of teaching partnerships.

This role has high visibility across the University and the role holder will lead and deliver key university initiatives and projects.
To support and manage a number of concurrent projects, establishing specific areas of knowledge and interest and developing new areas of activity for the International Recruitment and Partnership teams within IRPM.
There will be a particular focus on student recruitment conversion activities as well as developing and managing projects and processes for partnership management.
The post holder will report on project progress, identify potential risk areas as well as opportunities and work with relevant IRPM managers to generate ideas for new projects. Reporting to the Operations and Conversion Manager, you will also work within and across team boundaries to manage people and resources effectively to ensure deadlines are met.
Develop, focus and lead project workstream groups with a range of internal and external stakeholders who support recruitment, partnerships and conversion
Develop and maintain agreed project plans, defining criteria for the control, management and success of each specific project
Line manage the Project Coordinator (Conversion), setting their workload, delegating tasks, motivating them and supporting their development
Leading on the development of key recruitment and conversion strategies and tactics using data, market intelligence and market specific relationships to inform plans
Support the Operations and Conversion Manager in communicating the conversion strategy
Deputise for the Operations and Conversion Manager, where appropriate
Support the development and pipeline of partnership opportunities through their lifecycle
Build, manage and enhance relationships with key colleagues who support recruitment, conversion and partnerships
Manage project administration and budgets
Organise and collate information and data to be included in key documents essential to partnership development and approvals processes
Plan, manage and review the deployment of resources to effectively meet student recruitment and conversion goals
Supervise and motivate members of project teams and associated workstreams
Determine and manage associated project risks, managing the approvals processes with teams such as Data Protection and Legal
Report on project progress through agreed reporting lines to relevant University employees/departments, evaluate and publicise project outcomes
Generate ideas for new projects, including preparing project briefs and obtaining the appropriate support needed
Identify sector developments and opportunities for continuous improvement
Generate and maintain collaborative links with a wide range of individuals and organisations, both within the University and externally
