The Library is seeking to recruit an Information Assistant on a fixed term basis to join its Weekend Customer Services team. The Customer Services team is responsible for the daily operational delivery of the Library’s core frontline services, and our Help Desk offers support in person and virtually for library and IT queries.

We have a Weekend Information Assistant role available, this will be based in Customer Services. Weekend Information Assistants in the available role will work shifts on Saturdays and Sundays (or just Saturdays across the Summer vacation).
The role is offered on a fixed term basis until 1 October 2023.
For two of the available roles this will involve working approximately four weekends in each 7 week block.
Shifts will typically be full days (9-5).
Your hours will be annualised and paid in twelve equal monthly instalments with a full rota for the year provided with your contract (note that the annualised year runs between October to September; so this will be supplied as a part year in the first instance for 2021/22).
All roles involve supporting the delivery of services within a busy, fast-paced and continually changing working environment, through a range of administrative tasks.
