The Department of Biology is at the forefront of pioneering global research and technological advancement in science utilising plants and their unique ability to feed, fuel and heal us. As a signatory of the Technician Commitment, the University of York strongly supports technical career development, including the recruitment of new talent into the technical profession. The University is offering an apprenticeship programme that will provide a unique opportunity to join the University of York and undertake a nationally recognised qualification whilst working in a challenging and exciting sector.
Working as a member of the Biology Department’s Horticulture Technical Team you will learn from, and assist them in supporting the plant science research that occurs at York. This includes managing the day-to-day care of a range crops and plants that are used in research projects
