Role Description

We are looking for a talented professional Head Chef to lead one of our busy production kitchens and ensure the highest standard of catering is maintained at all times.

You will be able to demonstrate the ability to produce fresh food to a very high standard on a large scale to a busy conference and student market. You will need experience in all areas of food production including fine dining to be successful in this role.

You will possess City & Guilds 706/1/2 and or NVQ 3 as well as an intermediate food hygiene qualification and a minimum 2 years’ experience of working in a supervisory position in a high-volume catering environment.

You will have previous people and business management experience along with customer care skills, proven staff management skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Hours of work will be 37 per week on a “5 days out of 7” basis but there is a need for flexibility to support business demand. There may be a proportion of evening and weekend work on an ad hoc basis however it is unlikely that there will be split shifts.

The salary offered is £29,500 per annum.
