The Global Opportunities team is part of the International Recruitment, Partnerships and Mobility team in the External Relations Directorate and manages the University’s portfolio of international student mobility partners and programmes; bespoke short courses for students and staff of partner universities overseas; and open access summer schools for students from around the world. These programmes aim to build new international relationships and enhance existing relationships with key University partners across the globe and support University strategy.

The IRPM team is therefore tasked with increasing the visibility of the University of York to global audiences, including partner international universities, international academic networks and other international research and teaching partnerships. The University has significant geographical reach with its current partners and prides itself on the depth of these relationships.
Global Opportunities works closely with the three academic Faculties as well as other professional support services, students and external partner institutions and agencies to manage the development and implementation of a range of Global Opportunities. The role holder is required to support with coordinating and administering these programmes and provide specialist advice to students, staff and partners on the opportunities, requirements and practicalities of the schemes on offer.
The role holder will work closely with students, partner universities, Global Opportunities staff, and members of other University departments, including the wider International Recruitment, Partnerships and Mobility team, to ensure an efficient and seamless service delivery across all programmes and activities.
This is a fixed-term role available for 12 months.
