About the department
The Finance Department is seeking to recruit a Faculty Finance Manager to lead the Faculty of Arts & Humanities Faculty Finance Team. This is a full-time role that can be worked flexibly as 0.8FTE if required and would be suitable as a secondment opportunity due to its fixed term nature. We are currently operating a hybrid working arrangement with two days in the office and the remainder of the time can be worked at home.
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to lead the Faculty of Arts & Humanities Faculty Finance Team. As a senior manager in the finance department, you will be responsible for leadership and development of a specialist business partnering service across an entire Faculty. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will scope and develop financial strategies and plans, highlighting the financial implications and risks of strategic and operational decisions.
You will provide information and guidance to the leadership groups such as Deans Support Group and Faculty Executive Group. You will be building and nurturing excellent working relationships across the Faculty. The role will require excellent communication, analytical, team management and planning skills. We are looking for a person with a commitment to staff development and a desire for continuous improvement.
