We are seeking an Events Officer to work as part of the high-performing Events Team to help deliver high-quality corporate and public events for the University, including York Festival of Ideas and the VIP elements of Graduation. As part of the team, you will help provide a professional events service by developing and organising a range of events, and providing events management advice and support to University departments.
You will have experience of organising a variety of events for public audiences, including complex events for large audiences. Excellent people skills are essential, as you will work with a range of people both within and outside the University.
The successful applicant will have excellent organisational skills; be able to manage a high work-load, and work to tight deadlines; have a ‘can-do’ attitude and support an exceptional experience for our speakers and audiences.
You must be prepared to work unsocial hours as events are often held in the evening and at weekends, and the role-holder must be available throughout mid-May to mid-June without exception.
The is a full-time role only and the salary will be within the range £32,080 to £36,636 per annum.
