Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (RIKE) is the Professional Services Directorate responsible for developing and supporting all the University of York’s strategies for research and knowledge exchange, and for providing comprehensive support to York’s academic Departments in their research and impact activities.
The purpose of the Business Partnership Manager role is to work with Research and Innovation Development Team (RDIT) members, RIKE colleagues, Faculty/Departmental professional support staff and academic colleagues to support the development and delivery of the ambitions for industry engagement in the engineering and physical sciences portfolio.
Outcomes will include new partnerships and deeper engagement between academics and external stakeholders (particularly businesses and regional economic bodies) and increased co-produced research, translation and commercialisation opportunities. Success in the role will make a significant contribution to the impact of the research from the Departments involved.
We are seeking someone with knowledge of the translation process of research and who has experience of working with industry to either develop and manage academic-industrial partnerships or support wider knowledge exchange.
