Student Life and Wellbeing (SLaW) works to enhance all aspects of student life and experience at the University and is part of the Library, Learning, Archives and Wellbeing Directorate. The team delivers a wide range of proactive and responsive services for students to navigate the challenges and maximise the opportunities that the University provides them with.
Our College Community Coordinators have direct involvement in making the themes of the college life experience happen. They will assist in the delivery of our welcome and transition activities, staff-led and guided programmes of activity and events from a college perspective, assist the delivery of sports and music opportunities and work to deliver clear and enabled pathways into student peer support and leadership roles. They will mentor student leaders and assist in the delivery of training for our college committees and will help put in place engaging student communications for College members. They will help deliver and promote college life activity amongst students.
Knowledge of the common pressures facing University students and effective techniques for addressing them
Awareness of the drivers of community development within the Higher Education sector
Experience of organising events
Experience using social media and developing communications content
