Are you a talented chef who would enjoy downtime over Christmas and no split shifts?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Chef De Partie to join us at one of the country’s leading Universities. You will work within one of our busy production kitchens, helping to maintain the high standards of catering, hygiene, and health & safety that we currently achieve.
The role is a fantastic opportunity to create a great work-life balance, whilst giving you the opportunity to enhance your skill set. You will be learning from one of our skilled Head Chefs, all of whom have a Fine Dining background, up to Michelin Star level.
We’re looking for someone who has experience with fresh food and high-volume catering, but also someone driven and looking to learn. The role can be fast paced and different every day, so you must be adaptable and able to think on your feet when the kitchen is busy.
The salary offered is £23,981.09 per annum, averaging 37 hours per week on a 5 over 7 basis. Additional hours may be required on occasion to meet business demand. Where overtime occurs, time off at a later date will be granted when appropriate or otherwise paid. We have morning, mid and evening shifts, finishing at 8pm (no split shifts). Occasional weekend work is required, and flexibility is an essential to ensure the kitchens can meet the demands of the business.
You will possess a minimum of City & Guilds 706/1/2 (or NVQ Level 2 equivalent) as well as an intermediate food hygiene qualification. We’re looking for someone who feels ready to step up from a junior role or a Chef De Partie looking for a better pace of life.
