York Law School (YLS) is not your typical law school. We are a collegial, student-centered department renowned for our pioneering use of Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Our curriculum doesn't just teach law; it integrates legal problem-solving and professional skills within a collaborative, modern framework.

We are looking for several Associate Lecturers to join our team of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) tutors. At YLS, we don't just teach law; we immerse students in it.
As we expand our student community and enhance our Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) pathways, we need innovative educators who are passionate about student-centred learning and skills development. Whether you are an experienced academic or a practitioner looking to transition into education, we provide an inclusive environment where your expertise can shape the next generation of legal professionals.
As an Associate Lecturer, you will be at the heart of our distinctive pedagogical model. Your primary focus will be facilitating the "student law firm" experience through PBL sessions.
We are looking for colleagues who are grounded in the foundations of legal knowledge but flexible enough to facilitate learning across various substantive areas.
