The Department of Language & Linguistic Science is looking to recruit an Administrator to join a well established team working across three departments (Dept of Language & Linguistic Science, Dept of Philosophy and Dept of English & Related Literature). As a member of the Administrative Team the role holder will be expected to provide high-quality services to students, academic staff and colleagues in other professional services.
As a key member of the team the role holder will be responsible for a diverse range of administrative tasks. They will exhibit a professional approach to their work, have excellent communication skills and be willing to use their initiative. The ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy, with high levels of concentration and attention to detail is key to this role. The role holder is expected to assist in other areas of administrative support as required.
Thorough knowledge of administrative procedures and processes used in a busy office within a large complex organisation.
Experience of providing an excellent standard of customer service to a range of stakeholders.
Use digital technologies including Google applications and/or Microsoft Office.
Communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
