Library, Archives and Learning Services seeks to appoint an Academic Skills Adviser as part of the Maths Skills Centre in the Learning Enhancement (LE) team. The Maths Skills Centre provides maths and statistics support to undergraduate, taught Masters and research students.
Role
As an Academic Skills Adviser in the Maths Skills Centre, you will work in close collaboration with LE team colleagues and Graduate Teaching Assistants to design and provide statistics and some maths support via individual appointments, workshops, and online and paper-based resources.
Qualification, Experience & Skills needed
You will have a relevant undergraduate degree - and preferably a postgraduate degree - and a teaching qualification or equivalent experience. You will also have appropriate knowledge of statistical software packages and experience of supporting students in the use and application of statistics in their studies.
Alongside a motivation for continuous improvement, customer focus and collaboration, you will have the following skills and experience:
